Eric S. Neumann is a native of Lafayette, who attended Louisiana State University. After receiving his Bachelor of Science, Finance in 1987, Eric received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1991. Eric was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar on April 10, 1992. After admission to the practice of law, Eric served by appointment for a year as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Edward A. Delahoussaye, III, 16th Judicial District Court, State of Louisiana, and the Honorable Judge Cheney C. Joseph, 16th Judicial District Court, State of Louisiana.
Eric opened his private practice in August 1994, concentrating in the areas of Family Law and Bankruptcy. Additionally, Eric provided representation to clients in the area of Criminal Defense during which time he became Capital Case Certified by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana to provide representation to criminal defendants in Death Penalty cases. Eric served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Office of the District Attorney, 15th Judicial District, from 2015 through 2023 focusing on the prosecution of drug offenses and acting as the lead prosecutor for the 15th Judicial District Drug Court Program.
Presently, Eric provides representation through his private office in areas of family law and criminal defense.
